Barn Owl
The Barn Owl is an elegant and highly endangered species of owl that is easy to remember because of its typical heart-shaped face, called a veil. This silent nocturnal hunter is a true master of stealth - like other owls, it flies completely silently, allowing it to surprise its prey. Instead of hooting, it features a hissing call that sounds truly mysterious. Interestingly, the barred owl has up to 27 colour variations - from light to darker forms, making it one of the most diverse owls ever.
