Falconers with humor

Falconers with Humor is a family group united by a shared passion: falconry. But falconry is much more than just keeping birds of prey — it's an ancient art of hunting in harmony between human and bird, based on deep mutual trust and respect.

This tradition has been practiced for over 4,000 years, with its roots documented in the earliest written records of human civilization. Today, falconry is recognized by UNESCO as an element of intangible cultural heritage, highlighting its lasting cultural and historical significance.

In the Czech Republic, there are only around 500 active falconers, making it a rare and precious craft. Despite the small numbers, Czech falconers play a vital role in species conservation, helping to protect and reintroduce endangered birds of prey into the wild.
